Mini 1 - 1971 Austin Mini in Blaze Orange

Mini Number 1 is a 1971 Austin Mini in Blaze Orange.
The car has 30,000 miles and it in very good condition for it's age. It's all completely original except for a few minor repairs over the years.
On the test drive the car had a small water leak from the water pump, but this would be repaired before the sale.

The car had a previous respray on the passenger door that had reacted and bubbled. Over the years this had developed rust and was the worst part of the car.
There was also some damage to the drivers door where there was a dent that had been pushed out. This wouldn't have been so bad but someone over keen with a polishing tool had cut straight through the paint to the primer.

In addition to the door repairs the car also had a rust bubble on the bonnet and some rust on the front seam covers.
It was decided that the seller would organise for the car to be resprayed as part of the sale.

The interior is in reasonable condition with a couple of small tears in the Vinyl and amazingly the original carpet. Some work for the future

The engine bay look like one that's 38 years old. It will take a fair amount of work to get this looking tidy. A lot of work for the future which will probably require the engine to be removed.
